What it is

Rosina is the Italian restaurant from Adam Byatt of Trinity, named after his daughter Rosie, a pastry chef, with Will Bee as head chef. It opened in June on the corner site by Wandsworth Common that was Brinkley's Kitchen, with a large covered terrace, a sizeable bar, an open kitchen and a private dining room for 14. The menu leans towards Emilia-Romagna and uses British produce: gnocco fritto with mortadella (£5), rabbit livers braised in Chianti on bruschetta (£6), veal tongue with frutta mostarda (£9), cavatelli cacio e pepe (£8), tuna crudo (£15), risotto bianco (£20) and mezzemaniche ragù (£20), caviar linguine (£30) and turbot roasted on the bone (£38). Pina's tiramisù comes from the trolley. Grace Dent called it a surefire hit in The Guardian in September; Camilla Long's later Sunday Times review was more mixed.
