What it is

Cloudstreet is run by Georgia Lahiff and Frank Guest in a converted Victorian horse stable in a cobbled yard beside the Macintosh Ales pub on Bouverie Road. The brick-lined room is only a couple of metres wide, with a shared table for about eight and more seats outside on the cobbles; the cooking is done in the room on a small countertop oven and an induction hob. The short, Italian-leaning menu changes daily. Dishes reported so far include pork tonnato with pickled green beans, a baguette with cucumber, tomato and tonnato (£12), courgette flowers stuffed with rice (£16), a potato galette with a side salad (£16), onion tart with sheep's cheese, and fresh figs with zabaglione. It is mainly walk-in, with lunch Wednesday to Saturday and dinner on Thursday and Friday.
