About The Hottest Table
Updated 20 October 2026
The Hottest Table is a weekly guide to the new restaurants people are talking about, city by city. Every week we publish a Hot 20 for each live city, ranked by a published method, alongside lists of places that have just opened and places opening soon. A weekly newsletter brings the charts to your inbox.
Cities
We are starting with London, and plan to add Dubai, New York, Paris and Mumbai next, followed by more cities. A city goes live only when there are enough eligible restaurants to fill its chart and its first edition has been checked.
How the chart is made
Each restaurant on a chart is new or newly back, open, and recently covered by independent critics, publications, guides or creators. We rank them by a heat score that combines how new they are, how much independent coverage they are getting, how hard they are to book and any recent awards. How we pick explains every part of the score, what doesn't count, and how we handle corrections and closures.
The Hot 20 measures attention, not quality. It is an editorial judgment, not a review of the food or a promise about your visit. Opening hours, prices, menus and availability change, so please check with the restaurant before you go.
Photos
We publish a restaurant's photo only when we have cleared it for use. When we haven't, you will see a designed card with the restaurant's name instead. Some artwork on the site's own pages is AI-generated; it is labelled "Illustration" and never used to show a real restaurant.
Who publishes it
The Hottest Table is published by an independent publisher based in India. We will give our legal name and postal address to anyone who asks, for example to exercise their privacy rights or to send a legal notice.
Independence
We are not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the restaurants we list. Restaurant names, logos and trade marks belong to their owners.
How the site is funded
The Hottest Table is free to read. We plan to fund it through advertising and may add other commercial arrangements, such as affiliate links or sponsorships. Ads are not switched on yet. Anything that has been paid for is labelled, and an advertisement is not a recommendation from us. If a restaurant gives us a free meal or another benefit, we say so where we write about it.
