What it is

Nettle is the rooftop restaurant at The Conduit on Langley Street, from chef Will Devlin of The Small Holding. It opened on 22 September in a large fifth-floor room with dried-flower installations, dark timber tables and mossy-green banquettes, and long windows over a planted terrace and the rooftops. The cooking is seasonal British, done on a custom grill with produce from trusted farmers, growers and fishermen: oyster mushroom nuggets with miso dip (£9), pork scratchings with blackened apples (£4), a pigeon pasty with house brown sauce (£6), hake croquettes with dill emulsion (£4 each), house charcuterie, bazlama flatbread with carlin pea hummus and beetroot yogurt, a wild rabbit skewer with fermented chilli, Kent lamb chop with blackthorn salt and a whole Dover sole with XO butter. It is open Tuesday to Saturday, with bookings on SevenRooms.
