What it is

chez Rose is the bistro of chef Spencer Metzger, backed by Jason Atherton, on the former Little Social site on Pollen Street. It is named after Metzger's grandmother Rosemary, whose photographs hang on the walls. The long, narrow room has booths and a bar at the front, banquettes and bentwood chairs, and a six-seat private dining room at the back. The October menu runs from a French onion gougère (£6) and red prawn with tomato and Amalfi lemon (£7.50) to steak tartare with pommes gaufrettes (£17), pâté en croûte (£19.50), Orkney scallop with Café de Paris butter (£18), monkfish with Morteau sausage (£48) and Dover sole meunière (£58), with poulet rôti with vin jaune and morels for two and a 70% chocolate soufflé for two (£34). The MICHELIN Guide added it to its London selection in September 2026.
