What it is
Milk Burger is a burger and Champagne bar on Westbourne Grove, on the former Gourmet Burger Kitchen site, from Kyiv restaurateurs Alina Kosichkina and Dima Zakhodiakin, with Jorge Paredes, formerly of OMA, as executive chef. It opened on 5 October across two contrasting rooms by designer David Archer: an intimate one in burgundy tiles and stainless steel, and a lighter one in pale blue and soft timber. The short menu includes a bone marrow and truffle burger, a spicy smash burger, a Cuban sandwich and a fried cherry pie, with Champagne to drink. There are no bookings: it is walk-in only, daily from noon to 9pm.
