The weekly Hot 20 by email

Once a week we email the Hot 20: the new restaurants that score highest on our measure of attention in each live city, with what has moved up, what is new on the chart, and what has just opened or is about to.
What you'll get
- A weekly email. While we launch city by city, one issue covers every live city. We plan to give each city its own edition as readership grows.
- Occasional updates about the guide, such as a new city going live.
- Advertising and sponsorship. Issues can include advertising or a sponsored section. Now and then we may also send a sponsored email on behalf of a partner. Anything paid for is labelled as such.
Signing up
Enter your email address, choose your edition (city) and tick the consent box. We then send you a confirmation email, and you are subscribed only after you click the link in it. The newsletter is for readers aged 18 and over.
By subscribing, you agree to receive the weekly newsletter, which can include advertising, together with occasional updates and sponsored emails. You also agree that our emails can include a small tracking pixel and tracked links. These tell us whether and when you opened an email and which links you clicked. If you'd rather opens weren't recorded, turning off automatic image loading in your email app usually stops them being recorded.
Leaving
Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. After you unsubscribe we keep your email address on a list of addresses not to contact, so that you don't receive emails by mistake.
Your data
Our newsletter platform, beehiiv, stores your details in the United States:
- your email address and edition
- when you signed up, and the page you signed up on
- your IP address, and the approximate location and device type it suggests
It also records whether an email is opened and which links are clicked, which helps us see what readers find useful. The privacy notice explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it and your rights.
